About the author

Will Goodwin is a lifelong artist—visual artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and Doctor of Physical Therapy. He is a husband and father of three.

In October 2018, Will was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease. Four months later, on February 7, 2019, he suffered a widowmaker heart attack. He should have died. He didn’t.

In May 2023, he began writing—and hasn’t stopped since.

Will Goodwin writes the way he lives: with grit, clarity, and unflinching honesty. A student of faith, warfare, and the American soul, his work carries real-world intensity and spiritual depth. His stories are driven by truth—the truth of sacrifice, the truth of family, and the truth that darkness only wins when the righteous stay silent.

When he’s not writing, Will studies scripture, trains, prepares, and reflects on the cost of freedom in a world growing increasingly unrecognizable.

The Reason is not just fiction. It is a reflection of where we’ve been, where we’re going, and what we risk losing if we fail to stand.

Will lives in Tennessee with his wife and family, surrounded by hills, hard truths, and the enduring belief that liberty is always worth fighting for.
