Developing a story

Working on our books, we start with an idea. We shape the idea and set it in motion towards a certain destination. Sometimes it arrives at the preplanned destination intact. Other times, it arrives at the destination but in a different vehicle then it started the journey in. Then there are the times when the story takes over and changes the vehicle and the destination and you’re surprised with a wonderful completely new story idea.

Sometimes it’s wonderful, sometimes its tragic. But ultimately it’s the Author’s choice to keep it or discard it or to save it for a rainy day.

There are times when you the Author writes the story, and other times the story writes you or itself.
